A: The purpose of the Spam filter is to separate the good emails from the junk emails.
Q: Why do I need a Spam Filter?
A: Your Triotel account automatically has a spam filter to protect your inbox from receiving emails from unreliable sources.
Q: How do I check my Spam Filter?
A: To check your Spam filter log into web mail account. Click on Account Management Center (down in the left bottom corner). Hit Spam Control. This will lead you to your filtered messages. You may also upgrade your filter settings, allow list, and block list from here.
Q: How can I get 24 hour Internet and Computer help?
A: Tech support is available 24 hours to help you with your internet/computer questions. The number is the first three digits of your telephone number and then 9610.

Q: How can I block certain emails?
A: Log into your web mail account. Go to the Account Management Center. Click on block list. Enter in the email domain.
Q: What should I do if I get a lot of junk mail?
A: There is a way to increase the spam protection on your email. Log into your web mail account. Go to the Account Management Center. Click on Spam Control. Then click Filter Settings. There you will find different “strengths” for your spam control. Try to increase the protection.
Q: How can I send a picture via email?
A: Sending a picture through an email can be a great way to share photos. All you have to do is attach the photo. First create a new email. Click the paper clip symbol. Search for the photo/document that you want to insert. Then click insert. Depending on your email capability you may not be able to send multiple pictures per email. If you get an email notification back that your email was unable to send, then try just one picture per email.
Q: Why do I receive an error when the phone rings while I am on the Internet?
A: Dial up internet is connected through telephone lines. So if your phone rings, then your internet maybe interrupted. A message pops up to alert you that your internet connection will be lost or disconnected.
Q: What if I forgot my username and password?
A: Your username is your email address. When you signed up for Triotel Internet you had to create a username and password. If you are having trouble remembering your password, feel free to call the office at 425-2238.
Q: How can I get my emails to show up or pop up on my screen while I am on the computer?
A: A great way to send, receive, and organize your emails is through Microsoft Outlook. Click your start menu. Then click on Emails (Microsoft Office Outlook). You can personalize contacts and your daily calendar. If you have Microsoft Office open, and minimized, then your emails will pop up on the screen to notify you.
Q: Is there a time limit for Internet?
A: There is a time limit for Dial Up internet. At McCook Telephone we offer two different plans. We have a 200 hour plan, which is on average 7 hours per day. There is also an unlimited plan. High Speed Internet is unlimited.
Q: Why do I get a frequent reminder to disconnect and/or stay connected to Triotel?
A: This message was originally installed to remind dial up customers to disconnect before leaving the internet. It may appear to do just that. Click yes to stay connected. If you have high speed click the do not auto disconnect.
