Calling Features Definitions



900 Block
- Blocks 900 numbers.

Caller ID Number - Caller ID identifies the number of the calling party. After your phone rings once, the caller's number appears on the display. You can then decide if you want to answer or not. The date and time of the incoming call is also displayed.

Caller ID Number/Name - This feature identifies the number and name of the calling party.

Call Waiting - While you're on the phone, Call Waiting notifies you when another caller is trying to reach you. By simply pressing on the switch hook, you can place one caller on hold and speak to the second caller.

Caller ID with Call Waiting - While you're on the phone, CAll Waiting notifies you when another caller is trying to reach you while Caller ID displays the number of the caller, You must have Caller ID and Call Waiting.

Cancel Call Waiting *70 - Cancel Call Waiting allows you to temporarily deactivate your Call Waiting so that you can ensure no interruptions during an important phone call. This feature can be used to deactivate Call Waiting during the use of a fax machine or computer modem.

Call Forwarding - This feature allows you to program your phone to ring to a predetermined number.

Voice Mail - Voice Mail is an automated answering machine. You can program your Voice Mail to pick up after so many rings or to answer when you are on the phone. You will be able to retrieve your voice mail messages at home or at the office by dialing a selected number.

E-forward - This feature allows you to forward your Voice Mail messages to an email address. You must have Voice Mail for this feature.

Automatic Recall *69 - Automatic Recall lets you dial the last incoming call you received whether or not you answered the phone.When you activate Automatic Recall, the system tells you the directory number and then gives you the choice of continuing the recall or ending the recall. If you recall and the line is busy, Automatic Recall will keep trying the number for up to 30 minutes.

Automatic Call Back *66 - Automatic Call back works like an enhanced redial button. If the line you're trying to reach is busy, the Automatic Call back keeps trying the number for up to 30 minutes. Once both lines are idle, you'll hear a special ring. When you pick up the handset, the system will ring the party you're trying to reach.

Speed Dialing 8 - Speed Call lets you program your phone to dial a complete phone number (7 to 10 digits) in response to entering a 1- or 2- digit code. Speed Call comes in a short list (8 numbers) or in a long list (30 numbers). If you have a short list, you can easily change to the large list by calling our office.

- Speed Call 30 lets you program 30 phone numbers in your phone and allows you to access them with a 1- or 2- digit code.

Warm Line - Warm Line is designed to help your customers in case of emergency. If the customer picks up the phone and fails to dial within 30 seconds, a predetermined number is automatically dialed. The customer selects the number to be dialed and we program it into the switch.

Call Forward when Busy - This feature allows you to forward a call to another number if your phone is busy. You can forward to another telephone number.

Call Forward when No Answer
- This feature allows you to program your phone to forward to a predetermined number if you don't answer. This will allow your phone to ring at home first and then forward to another number after a set number of rings (2 to 9).

Selective Call Forwarding - Selective Call Forwarding ensures that specific calls will reach you when you're away from home or the office. You are able to program up to ten specific directory numbers to be forwarded.

International Call Block
- This feature allows you to block all international calls.

Toll Denial - This feature blocks all toll calls, but you can dial toll-free numbers.

Telemarketer Call Screening - Intercepts calls that are delivered as "unknown" or "out of area" to your telephone line. Plays an announcement to caller stating that you do not accept calls from telemarketers and request that you be added to their "Do Not Call" list. Your telephone will not ring. Calls who are not telemarketers are asked to "dial 1 or stay on the line" to complete the call to you.

- PIN - This feature allows you to control the calls made from your phone by entering a PIN before dialing a toll number.

- ON/OFF - This feature allows you to set the toll restriction feature to ON or OFF status.

Selective Call Acceptance - Selective Call Acceptance stores up to ten directory numbers from which you will accept calls. An incoming call from a directory number not on your list will receive a message stating that you're not taking calls right now.

Selective Call Rejection - Selective Call REjection allows you to selectively program a list of up to ten directory numbers that you want rejected or blocked when they call you. The rejected or blocked caller receives a message informing him/her that you're not taking calls. Your phone won't ring.

Caller ID Blocking - This feature allows you to prevent your name or number from displaying on someone's phone.

Anonymous Caller Rejection - This feature allows you to reject/block incoming calls from those who choose to conceal their number.

Basic Wire Maintenance - This feature covers the maintenance of your wires and jacks for your telephone. Without this service you would be charged the cost of a service call.

Extended Wire Maintenance - This feature covers the maintenance of your wires and jacks for your telephone, internet, and cable TV. Without this service you would be charged the cost of a service call.

Non-published Number - This feature allows you to not have your number published in the directory.

Additional Listing - This feature allows you to have an additional listing in the directory.

Teen Line - You can have two phone numbers assigned to the same line. The phone rings with a unique pattern so you can determine the intended destination of the call.

Distinctive Ringing/Call Waiting - distinctive Ringing allows you to program ten directory numbers that will be identified by a distinctive ring when they call you. If you also have call waiting and you're engaged in a phone conversation when a call from someone on your distinctive ring list arrives, you will hear a distinctive call waiting tone.
