TrioTel Communications, Inc. Scholarship
The TrioTel Scholarship was created because we believe that investing in today’s youth will assist them in becoming leaders tomorrow. We hope that our scholarship will help students to pursue degrees in a variety of fields at colleges, universities and technical schools in the state of South Dakota.
A scholarship in the amount of $500 will be awarded to one graduating senior from each of the following schools; Bridgewater-Emery, Hanson, McCook Central, and an At-Large. An At-Large student is considered a student that lives in our service area but attends a school outside of the TrioTel exchange, or is home schooled while living in the TrioTel exchange. The student’s parent or legal guardian must have service with TrioTel to be eligible for scholarship.
The Application Deadline is March 13th, 2023.

The James L. Bass Legal Scholarship:
With an active law career that spanned more than 70 years, James Bass helped secure funds for rural telephone systems to bring modern telephone service to rural areas. He was pivotal in the creation of NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, where he served as one of the organization’s earliest Presidents. Mr. Bass continued his leadership with service for more than 50 years as legal counsel, guiding NTCA through many challenges and opportunities.
Recognizing Mr. Bass’s impact to the industry and his passion for the legal profession, the NTCA Board established a scholarship for students entering their first year of law school and who have an interest in rural communities. The first James L. Bass Legal Scholarship will be awarded in Spring 2023 and will be at least $5,000.
